Is there a way to study off campus obstetrics in Australia?
I am very busy, but was wondering if there is a field that can be done home for midwives? Even if it takes years?
Yes you can. You can study at the University of South Australia and Monash uni Gippsland Campus. You would be classified as an external or off-campus student. You must remember that all work must be submitted to this campus, so that all work would be sent by mail. It is difficult to study as a student off campus, you really do not get the support you need. All information for the units will be available online and you wouldnt really have any direct contact with professors of the university. It is necessary to note that, in order to be applicable for the course, you have to do what is called a TAT or teritary entrance exam, similar to that of GAT 12 years. You must obtain a specific score in order to apply for the course. By becoming a midwife, does not mean to go to work in hospitals, since they are not a qualified nurse. We must also note that the school work takes up a lot time, so your business you can really really struggle. It is a noble undertaking, but does not take too much!
